How to get there
Whether by public transport or private vehicle - the journey to Hotel Weissenstein takes you high up to the ridges of the Swiss Jura mountains and rewards you with a spectacular view.
Take the car from Solothurn to the village of Oberdorf, from where you can reach the hotel along the pass road over the Weissenstein Pass. With gradients of up to 22%, the Weissensteinpass road is one of the steepest in Switzerland. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are sufficient parking spaces available for our hotel guests free of charge. During Sundays and the winter months the road is closed for private traffic.
By public transport, take the regional train from Solothurn station in the direction of Moutier to Oberdorf. The journey takes about 15 minutes. The valley station of the Weissenstein cable car is located in the immediate vicinity of the railway station. Enjoy the unique view of the city of Solothurn and the Swiss Plateau in a 10-minute cable car ride. The Hotel Weissenstein is located directly opposite the mountain station.
